When is the best time to take maternity pictures and when should I schedule my maternity session?
Maternity sessions are done between 30-36 weeks of pregnancy. This allows Angela Jane to capture you in full pregnant form and before you get too uncomfortable for posing. Maternity sessions should be scheduled as early in the pregnancy as possible to ensure availability.
When should I schedule my newborn session?
The best time to schedule your newborn session is before you’ve had your baby, usually at the end of your second trimester or beginning of third. This will ensure that Angela Jane gets you added to her calendar and that she is available when you deliver. She will tentatively schedule your session for your due date. When you have your baby, please contact her as soon as possible and she will schedule a more definite date/time.
If your baby was just born and is less than 3 weeks old, contact her today! She may have availability to photograph your little one.
At what age should my newborn be photographed?
The best time to photograph your newborn is BEFORE 3 weeks of age. The 6-14 day old range is optimal for newborn images and is the best time to get those adorable peaceful sleepy and very curly poses. After three weeks old, the baby is far more alert and baby acne and colic are common at that age.
Where do sessions take place?
Dunedin Maternity Photographer, Angela Jane can conveniently come to your house where you and baby are the most comfortable.
How should I prepare for my newborn session and what should I have ready?
Prior to your session, Angela Jane will send you an email with specific instructions and tips.
Can a session be rescheduled?
Because I know that “life happens”, Angela Jane allows for rescheduling. Please give her a 48 hour notice and your session fee can be applied to a new session within 1 month.
When will our pictures be ready?
The pictures will be ready within 1-2 weeks from your session date.
